Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. The listed phone number is (336) 286-5522. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is carolinasmilesdds.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 5.0 out of 5 from 38 reviews, which is a strong result for a dentist in Greensboro and suggests consistent service.

Greensboro is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Greensboro follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

After my old dentist retired, I went to 4 different dentists to find a new one I liked and trusted. NONE were acceptable to me and my needs! THEN I tried Carolina Smiles and found a great practice with doctors I can trust and depend on. Most of all, they do not pressure you to have work you don't need or want! I will be with Carolina Smiles the rest of my life!

I had to cancel my semi-annual appointment and another wasn't available for several months. I asked them if they'd let me know of a cancellation, and they agreed. The next day, someone cancelled, and I was able to get my preventive visit. They're always helpful.
